Do you have any ideas to improve our Parish?
Have you got an idea to improve our Parish?
The Parish Council is continually trying to raise finance to improve our Parish without increasing the tax burden on Parishioners.
We have raised £27,000 over the last 3 years and are bidding for £5K this year to improve the Island at the Creek. (More of this later) We also hope to help the village hall to improve their carbon footprint with a grant.
If you have an idea that would improve the Parish, please let us know. (See contact details)
BUT,
Grants are notoriously tricky to obtain, they have very specific requirements to qualify such as:
- Deprived area status (Government Index)
- Financial benefit to Locals.
- Increase in visitor engagement
- Improving equality of service for marginalised/special needs groups
- Environmental benefit.
- Partial grants (Parishioners providing balance of funds)
- And many more.
The outcome of the grants are also measured.
Sadly, this means that some of the best ideas cannot be grant funded so don’t be too disappointed if your idea can’t be funded.
