Anderby Creek Island Design.

Anderby Creek Island Design.

There has been some support for a design for the Island. At the September PC meeting it was agreed that Parishioners should be offered the opportunity to see their ideas come to fruition. The requirements for any design/implementation/maintenance ideas are listed below.

1: All designs must be fully costed, and the designs approved by LCCP and the PC.

2: Any funding must be:

  • Raised by the designer. and/or
  • Approved by the PC from the restoration fund.
  • Payment on receipt of invoice.

3: All works on the island must comply with EDLC/LCC requirements for public works, insurance etc. For H&S and insurance reasons the design should not have any structures which may encourage climbing onto the island.

4:  LCCP/PC will review the island over time to ensure compliance.

5: Any design must reflect the ambiance of Anderby Creek i.e. not turn it into Chapel or Ingoldmells.

6: The design should indicate the resources required to implement and maintain the project and where they will be found.

7: The draft design should be available for inspection at the PC meeting on the 18th November 2024.
