Further Update on the Bird Hide at AC
Further to our recent update, the County Council’s contractor has now performed the additional testing of the bird hide during the initial stage of site works.
The conclusion, unfortunately, is that the structure is not viable for retention and consequently the project team is now preparing for its removal. The viewing platform will be refreshed as planned, in order to maintain the accessible, panoramic views it provides on the route of the King Charles III England Coast Path. Subject to budget, we will explore any potential ways to add further value to the feature.
Set up of the compound and arrival of plant is scheduled for today, after which work will commence, with the expectation it will be complete by early March.
