Bird Flu Update

We would like to inform you that three cases of avian influenza (bird flu) H5N1 have now been confirmed in East Lindsey. As a result, a 3km Protection Zone and a 10km Surveillance Zone have been established around the affected areas, and your parish is within these zones (full details included in the attached poster).

Our officers will be in the area today, putting up posters and providing advice. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing and displaying the attached poster within your parish to help inform bird keepers about their legal responsibilities and the current restrictions.

If you require further information or assistance, including a printed version of the poster, please feel free to contact:

Lincolnshire Trading Standards at Tradingstandards@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

We also provide regular updates on our social media pages. Please follow us for the latest information:

Thank you for your continued help and support in this matter. We understand that you may have received a similar email last week or earlier today, but we wanted to provide you with the most recent update on all cases in your area.

Kind regards,
Lincolnshire County Council Trading Standards
