We love seeing children enjoying tghe Coast and using their imagination to build dens in the dunes and woodlandat Anderby Creek.

Creating small shelters from natural materials like sticks and branches is a brilliant way for kids to explore, learn, and connect with nature.

However, recently we've seen some dens becoming very large and neing built with items such as plastic sheets, carpets, and other man made materials. These structures can quickly become unsightly, create a fire risk, and sometimes make other visitors feel uncomfortable using the area.

We're not asking children to stop building dens - far from it.

We just ask parents and carers to help us keep things safe and in keeping with the natural environment.

1. Please keep dens small and temporary

2. Use only natural materials found on site (sticks, branches etc)

3. Please don't bring plastics, tarpaulins, or other man made materials.

This helps keep Anderby Creek safe, welcoming and beautiful for everyone who visits,

Thank you!
