  1. Reports from Councillors re external meetings

Cllr Fisher attended the opening of the new facility called the Boat Shed at Huttoft. He reported back that it was impressive, but smaller than he thought it would be. He also pointed out that there was no disabled access yet to the upper level. The National Trust are planning to build their own café nearer Sandilands with a viewing platform 50 feet higher than sea level.

  1. Grant applications – any updates

The TK Grant application for £5000 to redevelop the Anderby Creek roundabout/making a Beacon/repair of picnic benches has been successful. (The plans for the roundabout consist of a concrete oval, large pebbles, and sleepers at different levels and planted).

The positioning of the Christmas tree was discussed, and a new location found – where the old phone box was - providing ELDC/LCC give permission.

Concerns have been raised that the existing roundabout arrangement gives a safe space for children being dropped off, but the Council feeling was that there were several such places in the immediate vicinity, so alterations to this area should not impact on pedestrian safety.

Alford Garden Services have quoted to do the work, and this is in line with the amount budgeted, and this will be completed as soon as possible.

Cllr Williams (ELDC) has given a £450 grant towards the refurb of Notice Boards and the Council wanted these Minutes to formally reflect our thanks to him for this plus his continued support in all things to do with Anderby.

The siting of a proposed outside Gym has been supported by LCC and further discussion will take with the relevant Officer.
