  1. Update on Action Notes generated from last APC Meeting.

Speed signs – one has been successfully rebooted and appears to be working now. The signs now available are much more sophisticated and can display various speeds and can be set to be triggered at any targeted speed. They can also store information as to how many cars have passed in excess of the noted limits etc. The ones APC have are very basic and a suggestion was made that the Council look at funding new machines in the foreseeable future – so approved.

The Beach wheelchair was tested on the AC beach and, once carrying a passenger, was found to be impossible to negotiate the slope from the beach. A suggestion was made to donate the chair to Ingoldmells where their access/egress from the beach has no such issues. – So approved and Cllr Wood to make the arrangements.

Signage indicating access to the disabled walkway at AC was discussed. No signage is available from ELDC/LCC so agreement was reached that AC should purchase their own. £40 was authorised for this purchase. Cllr Wood to buy.

Community Action Groups were discussed again, as a way of finding funds for various projects. The Clerk had supplied a Constitution for this venture and it was agreed to discuss this after the elections.

  1. Reports from Councillors re external meetings

King’s Coronation – BBC interested in doing coverage of the event. No update from Cherie re: her plans for the Island etc but will consist of ‘Prince Charles’ on a giant deckchair with flag pole and bunting ready to go up.

A slate notice has been donated for the Island saying ‘Celebration of King Charle’s III’ – Cllr Wood to acknowledge this donation formally.

Lots of events planned for the weekend – sandcastle building, auction, etc
