  1. Review of cemetery fees

There has been no increase in costs from 2016 and it was proposed to increase the base cost of each service as per the attached sheet.

A question was raised about ‘Cemetery Rules’ – what is allowed around plots, types of items etc left on the grave. No regulations/guidance exist so the Clerk to do some research and put forward a suggested basic list that can be implemented.

  1. Discussion on any fundraising/grant’s requirements

Next Triton Knoll grant available from March 2024.

Village Hall received funds for new cooker and picnic benches.

Anderby Rocks looking for £2000 for their next event.

The funding for the Outdoor Gym has been refused but referred to Community Foundation and to include YMCA if successful.

To progress the application, we need proof that the general public have been consulted and are in agreement with the project, so a questionnaire has been created to be put into local pubs and cafes etc with a view to seeking approval/views from the local population for such a facility. The difficulty of achieving this is worsened because the population of the area is majorly seasonal.

Anderby Roundabout – seeded for the Coronation, and was very well received. Agreed to re-do for the Autumn and to look at 3 soldier silhouettes for the Remembrance Day.

  1. Agree purchase of Poppy Wreath & Christmas trees

Cllr Hayes to check on the condition of the wreath bought last year but funds to purchase 2 Christmas trees for up to £200 was agreed, and £30 for a new wreath if required.
