Anderby Parish Council

Notice is given that the Parish Council meeting will take place on:

Monday 19th February 2024

 Village Hall, Anderby Village.

Prior to the meeting there was a Public Forum commencing at 7.00 pm during this time Members of the public were able to ask questions or make short statements to the Council.      

The council meeting commenced at 7.15pm..

Cllrs Fisher, Wood, and Hayes, Cllr Dawson (ELDC)

  • Councillors absent from this meeting with no apologies sent

Cllr Dawson reported on the following:

  1. Councillor Grant funding – had received APC application and will confirm the amount payable once he’d checked the figures (£600-650?)
  2. Letter received from John Gibson – new resident who had inherited a green bin too heavy to move – Cllr Fisher offered to help with the situation.
  3. Local Plan to be revised during 2023 with new plan to be published 2025.
  4. Sustainability scores for Anderby =12 and Anderby Creek = 22. 1 less and Anderby would have been a Hamlet, and one more for AC would have made it a Medium Village. As is, both areas are classified as ‘Small Villages’
  • Approval of Minutes from meeting held in November 2023

    1. Pylon threat to area
      • Letter to be written to the National Grid objecting to this proposal.
      • LCC and ELDC opposing this proposal.

  • Discussion on NALC's pay rise rates for Parish Council Clerks

A rec pay rise of 1.75% to the Clerk (and as detailed by NALC) was approved

  • To approve payment of cheques
    1. Village Hall - £48
    2. LALC Subscription - £158.60

So approved

  • Planning:
    1. N/005/00189/24 Solaris, sea Road, Extension to existing dwelling

No objection

Notice received of ramp clearance by Mathew Davey

Complaint about the dog walker with multiple uncontrolled dogs – from Chapel St Leonards – car reg needed so can report to the police

Police Commissioner’s meeting – nothing tangible came out of it
