Anderby Parish Council

 

The Parish Council meeting took place on:

Monday 17th March 2025

Village Hall, Anderby Village.

 

Prior to the meeting there was a Public Forum commencing at 7.00 pm during this time Members

of the public could ask questions or make short statements to the Council.

The council meeting commenced at 7.15pm.

PUBLIC FORUM

The only thing voiced was the speed of traffic through the villages.

Extra signage to be ordered warning of speed limits etc.

LCC have agreed to a weight limit on the Coastal Road of 7.5t and it will be made into a Clearway.

 

PARISH COUNCIL MINUTES

5. To receive reports from outside bodies

Message from Cllr Davie to inform the PC that £1million has been released to help the victims of the recent floods – estimated that each household that did suffer with this will get circa £5000.

6. Approval of the Minutes from Feb meeting of APC

So approved

7. Reports from Councillors re external meetings

None

8. Format and Speakers at AGM?

9. Update on Cemetery quotations for landscaping area

Cllr Hayes has been liaising with a construction company for improvements to the church cemetery etc. – roots removed from the path, hedges levelling, removal of 2 overgrown shrubs, gates to be straightened etc. Awaiting quote.

10. Planning and Enforcement Updates

Enforcement have agreed to contact the owner of the waste land in AC with an Order to clear the site of rubbish etc.

11. Update on the Roundhouse and proposed benches

Benches to be ordered (recycled plastic ones)

Outer Dowsing may supply the village with a replacement bird hide – an eco friendly one.- On going discussions being held with them and the PC (headed up by Cllr Wood).

The old building – a suggestion was made that once the building had been removed it is replaced with decking therefore giving a facility that will provide great views etc.

12. Update on Notice boards

Local Joiner is resealing both units and doing other necessary repairs – Cost circa £800 – so

approved.

13. Draft public rights of way improvement plan for discussion and feedback in June

14. Presentation of anticipated year end accounts

As presented

15. Finance:

To approve payment of accounts:

a. Any cheques required for immediate action - none

b. Confirm final payments before year end - none

16. Date of next meeting Monday 28 th April 2025 – a change due to Easter

17. Any other business for discussion only or next agenda

Bank account with Lloyds – now being charged a monthly fee – internet search revealed only 1 bank (Oak North) still doing free accounts and Cllr Dawson recommended Unity Trusts as they were still free.

(Note – Unity Trust are now charging for their accounts as well)

No main stream bank could be found still not charging for Community Accounts
