Cllr Dawson:
‘The Bin Store at Anderby Creek. Discussed situation with Council Tax Office at ELDC and they would like to issue all the homes affected with new bins and to eliminate the bin store altogether. (Angie – 01754 872180)
The issue is getting the bins down to the kerb side for collection – and this would be made worse if there had been an accumulation of wind blown sand. Further consultation required before situation can be resolved.’
7. Reports from Councillors re external meetings
The old Bird House – now demolished and a base installed.
ELDC resisted Outer Dowsing investment of £23000 but wanted 25 year lease. It was not felt that the base would actually robust enough to last this long. Looking at creating the ‘Horizon Terrace’ with seating and ideal for relaxation, art classes, and yoga etc. Cllr Davie gave the plan his backing and Justin Brown has approved it.
Seating plan looked at, and feedback to be sent to the relevant parties.
Defibs – update – should be within 500m reach – Poppas not working but the Café’s is – both are on the EMAS Map
8. Beach safety, posters etc for AC and Wolla Bank.
Mathew Davey has put up warning signs re inflatables etc but they are generic. It was decided that we would keep the one already in situ, and a new stand has been ordered.
Coastwatch are asking for volunteers for a new Safety Watch group – to meet public and advise them on beach and sea safety.
