2. Councillors present at this meeting

Cllrs Dawson,(ELDC), G. Fisher, D. Wood, L. Johnson, J. Hayes

3. Councillors absent and no apologies sent

Cllr Brookes (LCC)

4. To receive Declaration of Interests

None

5. To receive reports from outside bodies

Cllr Dawson:

Contact made with eldc re: the bin store at AC (Lisa), and it has been agreed to rethink the issue.

Possibly needs a wire roof although rubbish will still be thrown onto it or even just left outside the door? Only 5 people affected but they are allowed to have normal domestic waste bins if requested. A suggestion has been made to remove the bin store altogether. There are locks currently fitted on the bin store, but it is still being abused. Cllr Dawson to have a

meeting with local resident who keeps it tidy (Angie).

Letter requesting more dog poo bins – completed and given to Cllr Dawson at the meeting.

6. Approval of the Minutes from November meeting of APC

Minutes approved

7. Reports from Councillors re external meetings

A police report has been made of possible squatters at 18 Sandy Lane. The Police attended and the new owners have been identified and contacted.

8. Application for DC Grant?

DC Grant approved for £1333. (Cemetery facelift).

9. Defibrillators – update

A Holidaymaker died recently in AC and the people attending her could not find a working defib unit.

This is not to say that if they had found one, the outcome would have been any different, but it seems wrong that the machines that are in situ are non functioning. Representations have been made to the Head of EMAS who has agreed to treat this with top priority and has promised to rectify the situation ASAP.

10. Any Planning applications

None

11. Finance:

To approve payment of accounts:

a. Any cheques required for immediate action

i. Speed safety signs and fixings - £160

ii. Zurich Insurance paid – chq number 972 - £241

iii. Clerk’s salary (3 months) - £986.70

iv. Robert Aldridge – Inv 1831 - £146.85

v. Notice Boards - £695 chq number 974 but re-issued on chq number 977 after error

12. Date of next meeting Monday 21st July 2025

13. Any other business for discussion only or next agenda

Cllr Wood to cheque if electricity goes to the toilets in AC as this would be an ideal location for a PC sponsored defib unit. Could be purchased under a CAG and maintained as such.

Bird house – no need for a planning application, but may need EA approval. Insurance? – Probably LWT but to check with Matthew Davey.

Waste land at AC has been nearly sorted, but a big pile of waste still left in the centre of the land. Email sent to ELDC.
