Anderby Parish Council

Notice is given that the Parish Council meeting took place on:

Monday 20th April 2026

 Village Hall, Anderby Village.

Prior to the meeting there was a Public Forum commencing at 7.00 pm during this time Members of the public could ask questions or make short statements to the Council.

Public Forum

Speeding through the village is still an issue so perhaps we could put up dummy cameras and signs saying Average Speed Cameras in operation? Clerk to check legality.

There appears to be no policing of illegal parking overnight etc of Motorhomes at Huttoft and Moggs Eyre car parks.

The Chairman has personally requested for Enforcement Officers to attend but to no apparent avail.

The Guest Speaker from Coastal Protection has sent their apologies as they cannot make the AH+GM.

Consequently, no refreshments are to be provided this year.

  • Reports from Councillors re external meetings

David Rodgers – Coastal Path Officer – is currently reviewing budgets with a view to renewing existing benches and/or introducing new ones at strategic points of the KClll Coastal Path.

EGL 4/5 Updates. Letter sent to ELDC, Highways, Head of Environment re the route that the heavy lorries would be taking. – Not through Anderby village?

Dog fouling on the beach access ramp a real issue now. Solutions?

Double council tax charged on empty properties? Where is this extra money going? FOI request?

  • Update on sink holes in Sandy Lane?

A second round of letters have been sent out by the Clerk, requesting a re-evaluation of the issue. The MP has been very proactive and has escalated the issue, and a letter from Natural England contradicts the information supplied to us by the LCC Head of Environment. This information has been shared with all relevant parties and we await LCC decision as to what we can do next.

  • Wheelchair ramp at AC. Repair actioned by LCC?

The wheelchair access ramp has been fixed (reported on Facebook recently).

    • To issue cheque for Clerk’s salary – Chq No. 1002 - £303.60
    • To review Clerk’s payrate – After 6 years with no pay rise, the PC have now corrected this and the Clerk is now paid as per the guidelines laid down by LALC

The Bird Hide officially opens in May. Dignitaries etc have been invited to the opening ceremony.
